06:00 Hrs: Pick up from your hotel / residence and drive to Shirdi from Pune.

09:30 Hrs: Arrive Shirdi. Upon arrival, go to see the Shirdi Sai temple, which is the main attraction of Shirdi.

Visiting Shirdi Sai Temple:

Shirdi is a place where Saint Sai Baba is worshipped and very famous temple of Shri Sai Baba is located. It is a main attraction of Shirdi. It was established in 1922 to carry out the services of Shri Sai Baba. At age of 16 yrs Shri Saibaba arrived at the village of Shirdi in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra and remained their till his death. Shri Saibaba of Shirdi lived between 1838 and 1918, whose real name, birthplace and date of birth are not known. Shri Saibaba in Shirdi was regarded with great reverence by both Hindu and Muslim followers. Lord Sai lived in a mosque and after death his body was cremated in a temple. Sri Shirdi Sai philosophy ingrained 'Shraddha' meaning faith and 'Saburi' meaning compassion. According to god Sai, Shraddha and Saburi were the supreme attributes to reach the state of godliness. Millions of pilgrims come here mostly on the occasion such as Dussera, Guru Poornima and Babas Death Anniversary.

Other attractions of Shirdi:

Dwarakamayi - Located adjacent to the temple complex, Dwarakamayi is the name of the mosque where Baba resided for an unbroken span of 60 years till his Samadhi in 1918.

Chavadi - This is located next to Dwarakamayi.

Khandoba Raya temple - This is the temple where Mahalsapati first welcomed Sai Baba and recognized that He is no ordinary saint. .

14:00 Hrs: Visit Shani Shingnapur

Shani Shingnapur is a small village located 65 km away from Shirdi. Lord Shaneshwara (the personification of the planer Saturn) is enshrined here. People come here in huge numbers to pay respect to the Lord Shanidev. People don’t make doors for their houses here due to have strong belief in Mighty Lord Shanidev. Only male devotees are allowed to worship inside the temple. An idol of Lord Shani Dev is made of black stone. Devotees are required to bath in public bathrooms outside temple before entering the temple without any upper – garments and queuing up in wet dhotis.

16:00 Hrs: Drive back to Pune from here.

19:00 Hrs: Arrive Pune Upon arrival, check in at your hotel or residence.
